Chevrolet at the Transformers: Age of Extinction

Chevrolet officially announced their models that will be included on the upcoming movie Transformer: Age of Extinction.

Here are the cast of cars that will be shown on the movie:


The 5th generation Chervrolet Camaro which transformed to Bumblebee.


The 7th generation Chervrolet Corvette which transformed to Crosshair.

And last Chevrolet Sonics and Trax are also included at the said movie which we need to confirm who are those Autobots, but the said models are on a Rally-setup.


Transformer: Age of Extinction will be shown on June 27 of this year.

Chevrolet Colorado - Asian Release

Chevrolet Colorado (also known as Holden Colorado and Chevrolet S10)officially landed in the Philippines shore. This will make Toyota Hilux's main compeitor in terms of hauling and performance.

Chevrolet Colorado: Engine

The Chevrolet Colorado is equipped with a new Duramax engine, with a selection of 2.5L and 2.8L displacements, equipped with CRDi (Common Rail Direct Inject) and VGT (Variable Geometric Turbo) tecnology on 4x4 and 4x2 drivetrain. The 2.8 engine, it producing 180hp at 3800 RPM and a torque 470 Nm @ 2000 RPM transferred to its six-speed automatic transmission while the five-speed variant it produces a torque of 440Nm @ 2000 RPM.

On the 2.5 engine variant offers a 4x2 option, five-speed manual transmission producing 150hp @ 3800 RPM and a torque of 350 Nm @ 2000 RPM.

Chevrolet Colorado: Performance/Hauling
The said variants are perfect for hauling things especially it comes with a leaf spring suspension build for toughness. All Colorado variants are Z71 high stance models that have sufficient ground clearance to go through rough terrains and water depth up to 800mm at 7km/hr.


Chevrolet Colorado: Lights

Another feature that Chevrolet Colorado has, it is equipped with LED tailight for maximum light output with a minimum electric consumption, unlike to its competitor they still use the conventional light bulb on their tail lights.

2013 Chevrolet Spin - For Asian market

Well, Chevrolet released another MPV that will add spice to the automotive market, the 2013 Chevrolet Spin. This would the little sister of Chevrolet Orlando which also categorized as an MPV, let us consider Chevrolet Orlando as the big brother of Chevrolet Spin because of its apparent size.

Chevrolet Spin is offered in 1.8 Flex engine, which has the edge to other competitor because it is capable of using an ethanol as its fuel.


The simplistic design is one of the experience that you will get on the Chevrolet Spin which is one of the taste of Asian motorist.

2012-2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Asian Version

Definitely this will be a competitor for Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet is very aggressive on providing buyers more option from the land of freedom.

It is said that the chassis of the Asian version of the Chevrolet Trailblazer will be based on Chevrolet truck that has the capacity of going off-road at the same time has the functionality of a mid-sized suv in urban-setup.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu: Nationwide launching

Chevrolet already rolled out their first batch of 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco in North America. Tha said vehicle was manufactured in Fairfax in Kansas City. Other information are, the 2.5L version will have a new ecotec engine that will be released this summer, at the same time its 2.0L turbo engine version.

Chevrolet MPV: Official Image

Last time, I post an article about the spy-shot images of the Chevrolet MPV in China, at the same time, I wrote that details of the said vehicle. Today, it is official, the image of the Chevrolet MPV was officially released at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo in India — Not bad on the design.

The said design was done collaborated with Lotus, they tweak for six-months the chassis of the vehicle and emphasize on the safety of the passenger. A possible that this vehicle will released for Asian market which I think that it will be a hit because of the seven to eight seating capacity, ideal for family ride or business used.

This vehicle would defintely compete in small-size MPV like Suzuki APV and Toyota Avanza/Xenia. And hoping that the model would have a selection of engines to choose from, like in China.

Spyshot: Chevrolet MPV For Asian Market

We assume that the Chevrolet Orlando will be the only MPV of Chevrolet for Asian Market, think again. I saw an images from a Chinese website that Chevrolet is developing an MPV which will cater the Asian market. Sources says that this vehicle is comparable to Toyota's Avanza/Daihatsu Xenia and Suzuki's APV. Additional information on this said vehicle that it is a rebadge of the Chinese automaker's Wuling Hongguan MPV model. I don't have a specific information regarding on the engine that will be used; in China, buyers have a selection of 1.2L, 1.4L, and 1.6L engine to choose from; in India, a possible 1.3 engine might be the installed on the said vehicle, which also used in Chevrolet Beat models. Hope if this model will be offered in the Philippines, at least they install a diesel variant engine for fuel-economy, and a possible people mover car like taxi or cars rentals. The tailight of the vehicle is similar to the tailights of 2011-2012 Hyundai Starex.

2012 Chevrolet Orlando For Philippine Market

Last month, at the Chevy Motorama held at the Music Hall in SM Mall of Asia, Chevrolet announced that they will bring the Chevrolet Orlando here in the Philippines; a seven-seater MPV or Multi-Purpose Vehicle by Chevrolet Motors. This week when I am doing my christmas shopping, I saw already that Chevrolet are already selling this vehicle and of course inspect the said vehicle.


Outside of the vehicle, it gives me this impression of a bulky feeling, a feeling that this vehicle is definitely is an American vehicle. But, this vehicle has a heart of an Asian spirit. A sleek and sophisticated design, which will think that this vehicle is a luxurious vehicle — expensive just like the Chrysler Grand Voyager. But don't be deceive by the looks, the introductory price of this vehicle is 1,188,888.00 pesos — not bad for an American brand though.

Inside of this vehicle, the company made it so good that you will think twice that this vehicle is luxury mpv again. The said vehicle offers features like cruise control, auto-climate control, auto-headlamp control, rain sensing wipers, and more.

A 1.8 ecotec petrol fed engine was offered in the Philippine market — not bad for family use and soccer moms out there.

My sources said that the vehicle will coming from Thailand — that quite new to me because as far I know that this kind of model where made from South Korea. Anyway, if you are looking for a new vehicle this coming 2012, I'll definitely recommend this model.

Some of the competitor of this model are Grand Livina of Nissan; Carens of KIA; and Grand Voyager of Chrysler — if you are a filthy rich person.

Urban-Camo Paint Chevrolet Corvette C6

Besides engine-modification and engine detailing in a Chevrolet Corvette especially the C6 car, a body-detailing will be the best to modify your car.

I spot this one at the 2011 Manila Auto-Salon. The owner did an urban-camouflage paint to his Chevrolet Corvette C6 car. A perfect project car.
